29, 2009  Motley County, TX, supercell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tour One met near noon on this Wednesday in Arlington, TX,  and we hit the road quickly as there was a severe weather threat in western Texas.\u00a0 A supercell spit out a tornado in Floyd County, I think, but we were still an hour away.\u00a0 We obtained a view of the storm on the way from Dickens to Matador, and stopped to snap a few pictures.\u00a0 It was severely undercut and spewing cold outflow, so we went south to Dickens County, where a new storm was brewing.\u00a0 It quickly became tornado-warned and it had a good look to it, but it failed to produce a tornado.\u00a0 Nevertheless, it was fun getting on a couple of severe storms right off the bat for this group.\u00a0 We found a gas station for cover in Guthrie, and allowed a windy hailstorm to pass over.\u00a0 The hail was almost 1.5 inches in diameter.\u00a0 On our way to Childress for the night, the lightning display to the east was
