There are several new additions to the Bruiser this month. I spent several days of photography bliss in the desert areas of east-central California during the week of March 8-15, and just finished the seemingly endless and tedious post-processing and web site uploading. I am also working on my chase highlights video for 2009. It is about half completed, and may or may not be ready by the time I leave for chase 2010. Unfortunately, it appears doubtful that it will be ready and available before I am back home from storm chasing this summer. Patience is mandatory!<\/p>\n

One of the surprise highlights on my desert trip was the brilliant (well, more “dim” than brilliant) appearance of the Zodiacal Light. <\/a><\/p>\n

March 8th<\/a> featured the Ibex Dunes, Saratoga Springs, some great lenticular clouds, and the Mormon Point area in Death Valley.
\n\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On March 12th<\/a> we checked out the Trona Pinnacles, the Panamint Valley, and Darwin Falls, and again had a great display of “Sierra wave” lenticular clouds<\/a> at sunset.

March 13th was a cool and windy day along the Eastern Sierra<\/a> and the Alabama Hills<\/a>, and then into the remote Saline Valley.<\/a><\/p>\n

On March 14th we visited Keeler and Cerro Gordo<\/a> in the morning, saving the Eureka Dunes<\/a> for the soft light of sunset (and sunrise on the 15th!).

Finally, the highlights on March 15th were at Fossil Falls<\/a> and Red Rock Canyon<\/a>.
