Kirstie and I had a few days to chase together in my X-terra between the end of Tour 4 and my flight back to California.\u00a0 On this day there was a decent chance of severe weather in north-central OK, with large CAPE values and so-so shear.\u00a0\u00a0 The initial storm towers went up in the vicinity of Wakita, and these moved to the east.\u00a0 A handful of cells evolved and none of them were able to become particularly strong.\u00a0 We wound up on a storm near Billings which kicked up dust plumes and looked good for a little bit, but there was never much of a tornado threat.\u00a0 On the backside of the activity, near Enid, Dallas Raines joined us and we observed some mammatus.<\/p>\n
