1, 2011  Noctilucent clouds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After our chase into southwestern MN today, we headed back west on I-90 to our motel in Plankinton, SD.\u00a0 Near Mitchell, SD, Marcia pointed out a noctilucent cloud above the horizon to our northwest.\u00a0 We exited west of Mitchell and set up the tripods and cameras for about 20 minutes.\u00a0 The noctilucent cloud looked best about the time we stopped, and then gradually became fainter.\u00a0 Most of my exposures were 5-10 seconds in duration at f2.8 to f3.2, ISO setting 200 to 800.<\/p>\n<p><a
