June 1-2, 2006 Fun in the Sun

If I recall correctly, and I usually do, there was absolutely nothing to chase on this day except ghosts. Model is on U.S. 350 northeast of Trinidad. And what better way to kick off a series of award-winning photos than with a shot of a toilet?

…and on June 2 we visited Cadillac Ranch and Palo Duro Canyon.

From the long-lost photo files I submit this final photo, shot somewhere on the Plains during the Bush/Cheney administration. I was trying to get a nice shot of my shadow, when someone bumped into me on the right side one-tenth of a second before I clicked the shutter.
