A short drive south after lunch in San Antonio put us in good position to watch storms develop. One, near sunset, dove south-southeast through the Charlotte area and had a threatening lowering, but little sustained low-level rotation. The cell appeared to intensify shortly after we stopped near sunset. Note the nice overshooting top!
