CGs east of Van Horn, TX. Not much happened on this day during daylight hours. The tour group dropped south through eastern New Mexico and Guadalupe Pass, TX, and wound up with some meager electrical activity east of Van Horn, TX, shortly after dusk. Early on the following morning the town of Sierra Blanca, between Van Horn and El Paso on I-10, was the recipient of a healthy dump of hail. Good-sized hail drifts were widespread through the town when we passed though late morning on the 16th.
