May 25, 2008 Central Kansas Storms

May 25, 2008 By Bill Leave a Comment

The big play this day was in Iowa, where the Parkersburg monster tornado formed.  We began the day in Salina and played central Kansas.  We observed somewhat ho-hum rotating updrafts with little or no tornadic potential as they were undercut by cool air.  At the end of the day we had a pretty look at the backside of the storms, from north of Great Bend.
