May 26, 2008 More Kansas storms

Thunder the Wonder Dog joined us for lunch in Offerle (west of Kinsley).  Like the day prior, today’s storms were less than impressive.  The initial activity was near Offerle, but was junky.  We dropped down to Pratt as a more isolated cell approached, but it did not look too swift.  So, we went farther south, to Medicine Lodge, only to learn that someone saw a tornado with the Pratt storm.  It was a crapshoot.  As we neared Wichita for the night, we were hammered by thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail.
