This morning we had the new alternator installed onto the van, and so we got a somewhat late start. Fortunately, the severe threat was fairly minimal. Moisture would be shunted well south to southwest TX for the next several days, so we dove south from Clinton, OK. The atmosphere did not cooperate for us, and near sunset we were in old-house-photography mode near Garden City. A cell went up a little later near Fort Stockton, a little too late for us. We found rooms in Midland.
