I am still behind in getting my spring 2012 chase images up on SB. I found some images taken a little prior to my storm chase stint which I figured should be taken care of first, so here they are. Since no one will find them buried in the earlier SB archives, I’ll post them here under this August date.
The first batch below are from the Van Nuys AP control tower, on March 2 and 3, 2012. The highlight was when the U.S. jet fighter plane stopped by for a visit.
These four are from New York City and Stitzer, PA, mid-March. Can you detect which ones are from NYC and which are from Stitzer?
The images below were taken shortly after a storm cell rolled through Van Nuys on March 25, 2012. The wet intersection: Balboa and Sherman Way. The flooded waterway: the Mighty Los Angeles River. Extra planes at Van Nuys AP round out this impressive collection, on sale now at Target.
