Attention all weather and climate nerds: as you may know, I have studied Death Valley’s record temperature of 134F from July 1913, and determined that it is not credible. I am in the beginning stages of sharing my research online, and the first step was to scan my Masters Thesis from 1987, which looked in detail at Mojave Desert temperature patterns (particularly around Baker, California) and high temperatures in Death Valley. The thesis is quite lengthy, so be forewarned!
And, even better, here is a link to the online copy provided by CSUN.
Keep checking back for additional info and research on the Death Valley record!
