This was another day with a severe risk east of the Front Range, and the shear looked a little better than on the previous day. Our tour group began in Brush and had lunch in Brush. We killed some time in Fort Morgan, and then headed south to the Palmer Divide where some beefy towers developed. We watched storms in the Falcon and Simla area, and, like yesterday, the left splits dominated and moved to the northeast. These were mildly interesting, but then grew tiresome. Some good air remained to the north along I-70, so we got ourselves up into the Prospect Valley area. Near sunset, we found ourselves amidst a bunch of rotating updrafts/supercells between about Byers and Prospect Valley. After a decent CG show to our south, near I-70, we got rooms at the Strasburg Inn.
