SPC showed a slight risk for southeastern WY on the earlier outlooks, but downgraded later. If I recall correctly, we came up on an isolated and small rotating updraft southwest of Wheatland. The little, high-based supercell looked okay upon the approach from the Chugwater area, but weakened as we neared from Wheatland. We tried to get under the hail shaft as it moved over Highway 34, and managed a few hits of one-inch stones. The storm quickly weakened thereafter and gave us a rainbow. I was underwhelmed with the course of events and did not take any pictures until the orphan anvil sunset.
This was the final chase day for this tour, and we had time for a group photo and an abandoned home stop east of Chugwater on the way to the motel.
