October 30, 2015 San Nicolas Island AP sunrise

My shift at the airport on San Nicolas Island begins before sunrise.  There were no clouds around this morning, and I had the camera and long lens ready at 7:15 a.m. as the sky brightened to the east-southeast.  The first flight of the day from Point Mugu happened to approach a couple of minutes later, with the plane crossing right in front of the sun —that was a nice bonus!
