I had a Friday off to goof around near the Salton Sea. I had explored the west side of the “sea” about a year ago, so it would be the east side today. I did the North Shore and Bombay Beach and vicinity. Bombay Beach is a half-deserted resort town that may be the perfect site for slasher movies.
As sunset neared I trudged though the soft sand and muddy muck from a shoreline parking area towards the water’s edge. Each step was carefully taken in order to not disturb the fish corpses. A zillion birds were lined up along the shore, so I went to work with the long lens.
