March 31, 2016 Spring Wildflowers on the Carrizo Plain

My friends Tom and Rook hopped into the Xterra and we were off on a day trip to check out the wildflower display in the Carrizo Plain.  It is only a couple of hours to the desolate basin from my home in Westlake Village, and it is nice to get out into the middle of nowhere with few folks around.  Since the flower display was pretty good in spots, the number of visitors was a bit more than normal, but still it seemed like we had the area to ourselves for most of the day.

Yes, I took a zillion photographs, and I have difficulty choosing my favorites.  I edited a whole bunch for you to decide.
