Start, Wichita Falls, TX; end Lubbock, TX; 459 miles; lunch: maybe in Dickens…who knows?
I forget exactly why we were killing time in Earth, Texas. Oh, yes, I can check my notes to suddenly remember. There was a little instability expected in the afternoon in east-central New Mexico. SPC showed “general thunder” possible. We wound up on a very junky and weak cell northwest of Clovis. I looked at it for about ten minutes and then we drove south to Lubbock for the night. Prior to this non-event, our group poked around the central business district of Earth.
