Immediately following our approximately two-hour tornado chase from Fowler and Minneola, Kansas, to the Dodge City area, we found ourselves on the west side of the severe storm(s), beneath an anvil of mammatus clouds.   The bright sunshine on the developing mammatus clouds was stunning.  Anti-crepuscular rays to the east were ethereal.  These 30 minutes following the tornado-fest were nearly as dramatic as the tornados we had just witnessed.
