June 6 and 7, 2016 New Tour, Still a Poor Pattern

June 7, 2016 By Bill Leave a Comment

Tour 5 began on June 6 out of Denver.  The first couple of days were slow, and we chased some weak and rather messy storms on the 6th and 7th.  On the 6th we were up near Greeley, and then back down to Denver Airport to view a semi-interesting cell.  Okay, it wasn’t quite that good.

For June 7th, we had low expectations on the High Plains near the SD/NE/WY triple-point area.  Our low expectations were met and not exceeded.  Below are some images from Ardmore, SD.  From here, Chris G. took over as tour director and I headed back to Denver and then home for a 6-day break.
