On the north coast of San Nicolas Island is Corral Harbor. There is a narrow entrance from the ocean on the north side, and a pretty, crescent-shaped sandy beach that is relatively well-protected from any big waves.
The first tow images below are of Anacapa Island, with Santa Cruz Island in the background. The next two are from a bluff on the north side of San Nicolas Island, looking along the north coast. The remainder are of Corral Harbor and vicinity. Image #11 (7871) provides a nice, wide-angle look at the “harbor”, looking to the WNW.
