SPC Day One/20Z

SPC Storm Reports

My first tour with Tempest Tours in 2017 was Tour 2, out of OKC.  We did a “bonus run” with some of the guests on the previous evening, and had a nice nighttime supercell near Booker, TX.  On this first day for Tour 2, the place to be was the jungles of east-central Texas.  If we were starting from Dallas, it might have been worth going for this area and its enhanced risk.  But making the long drive from OKC to play catch up with storms in the trees is not my thing, so we headed west out of OKC for some very so-so convection out near the TX border.
