Following the pretty light near sunset on the west side, I continued down to the bottom of Panamint Valley on Highway 190.  The decent lenticular cloud that had been to my east, behind Telescope Peak, was diminishing.  It looked like a bust day as far as my cloud chase hopes.  But, some new lenticular clouds were now forming to my west, and these were getting some great sunset colors!  I plunked the camera onto the tripod and went back to work.

After about an hour of fun here, it was time to find a home for the night.  I drove four hours south to mom’s place at Palm Desert!
