Moisture remained in short supply over most of the Plains on the 14th and the 15th. The 14th was a down day for us as we moseyed over to northwest Kansas from Wichita.
The best risk for severe today, the 15th, was up in North Dakota. I felt that the long drive way up there was not warranted, as moisture was meager (dew points only into the low 50s) and tornado potential was very low. We staked out the area around the KS/NE/CO triple-point, and wound up on a high-based storm which was unable to become well organized. No surprise. We did get some pretty sunset shots and some dust-filled outflow winds.
