May 6, 2020 Palo Duro Canyon hike

May 6, 2020 By William Reid Leave a Comment

Following our chase in northeastern Oklahoma on May 4 was a two-day down period chase-wise.  On May 5th we headed west to Canyon, TX, with a stop for dinner at the Big Texan.  They had us eating “outside” beneath a large tent due to the COVID regulations.   May 6 was a great day for a hike in Palo Duro Canyon, though it got a little warm towards mid-afternoon.  Chris and a guest and I found a little slot canyon after a hike of a few miles.  We were in fine position, too, for the chase day on May 7!
