June 10, 2020

Start:  Rockport, MO

Brunch:  Auburn, NE/Metro Cafe

End:  Mullen, NE

Severe weather would be in hiding for a few days on the Plains, so we drifted northwestward through Nebraska and found a motel at Mullen.  The night skies were dark, so we headed out after dinner a little north of town to check out the Milky Way.

Brunch:  Mullen/Big Red Diner

End:  Rapid City

Look at how clear the skies are!  Most of the images below were at stops near Belvidere, SD.  Later, we were at the Badlands and close to some animals.

June 12, 2020

Start:  Rapid City, SD

Brunch:  Rapid City/Millstone

End:  Glendive, MT

322 miles

Severe weather chances would not commence until June 13 in northern Montana, so on the 12th we continued to the northwest from Rapid City.  With plenty of time to kill, we stopped at Mount Rushmore and the ghost town of Albion, Montana.
