September 12, 2020 Smoky sunrise and sunset at San Nicolas Island

Big late-summer wildfires in parts of California sent smoke plumes across much of the western United States.  On this day, the smoke wasn’t too bad out on the island, but there was enough to allow some interesting sunrise and sunset conditions.  The smoke mixed with the typical fog to the west at sunset.
