After my visit to Ralphs on Monday afternoon, I was somewhat astounded to see some spectacular lenticular clouds not too far to my NNW. I dashed home, put the 15mm lens onto the Canon camera, and high-tailed it to the nearby hilltop. The yellow flowers provided a decent foreground to the skyscape. I think that the images below are in reverse order chronologically. That is what happens when your web hosting service makes changes. Who has time to learn the new system?
The ACSL (altocumulus standing lenticular) clouds became less impressive after about an hour. It was a bummer that they weren’t as nice for sunset, but did I really want to sit on top of that hill for four hours?
