13, 2008  Graford, TX storm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><o:p><\/o:p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">There was a fairly decent chance of tornadic supercells on this day along the I-35 corridor in OK.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>In fact, I think we had a moderate risk over much of <st1:place>Central  OK<\/st1:place>.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>We targeted the area around <st1:city><st1:place>Duncan<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>, and watched and waited as some storm towers tried to break through the warm cap.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>We were in between upper-level support\/waves, though, and the cap won out.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>There were some marginally severe cells near OKC, and none south of <st1:city><st1:place>Norman<\/st1:place><\/st1:city>.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>We blasted southwest into <st1:state><st1:place>Texas<\/st1:place><\/st1:state> and caught a weakening supercell near Graford just after sunset.<span>\u00a0 The base of this cell teased us a little, but by-and-large it was less than impressive.\u00a0 <\/span>Lightning was too sporadic and I wound up with little worthwhile image-wise.\u00a0 Earlier in the day one decent updraft quickly assumed a pileous cloud cap.\u00a0 We spent the night in Weatherford.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>330 miles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00a0<a
