8, 2006  Kalvesta, KS supercell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This was a long day with a long drive, beginning at Sweetwater, TX.\u00a0 Activity went up in west-central Kansas, north of Garden City, and we managed to get just east of an impressive lowering northwest of Kalvesta.\u00a0 The updraft was undercut by cool north winds.\u00a0 The cell showed supercell characteristics towards Jetmore at dusk, and another supercell developed near Dodge City during the evening.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stormbruiser.com\/chase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/08may_cimarron_ks_0862.jpg\"
