Start: Presho, SD/lunch: Subway in Valentine, NE/End: Oberlin, KS/miles—lots

Final chase day for Tour 8 and for me for the chase season. We tried our luck around Tryon and Arthur, but that wasn’t happening. We managed to get in front of marginally severe stuff southwest of McCook and sagging southward into Kansas around sunset. It was high-based.
