Storm Reports

Chase account by TT guest L. Ryan

Finally, some moisture was moving back onto the Central Plains and we had a severe risk!  A large and elongated east-west area was labeled “slight risk” by SPC, and I chose the western Nebraska portion.  The tornado risk was very low.

We started after a storm near Alliance, but it sputtered.  We headed back east to Hyannis and down to Arthur, stopping about halfway to Ogallala.  Impressive hail cores were to our south, and moving towards the northeast.  There wasn’t too much structure to write home about, but the light and the lightning were fun for a bit.
