May 8, 2006 Kalvesta, KS supercell

This was a long day with a long drive, beginning at Sweetwater, TX.  Activity went up in west-central Kansas, north of Garden City, and we managed to get just east of an impressive lowering northwest of Kalvesta.  The updraft was undercut by cool north winds.  The cell showed supercell characteristics towards Jetmore at dusk, and another supercell developed near Dodge City during the evening.
