June 22, 2006 N TX Panhandle squall

June 22nd, 2006 by Bill

Shear was weak on this day. We began tour 6 out of OKC and headed for the northeastern TX Panhandle, near Borger. The late-afternoon cells appeared organized and nasty briefly, but then precip came pouring through the updraft base. Towards sunset, a pretty and banded squall made its appearance to our north, south of Texhoma.22jun06_borger_tx_06t26.jpg22jun06_borger_tx_06t23.jpg22jun06_borger_tx_06t30.jpg22jun06_texhoma_tx_06u03.jpg22jun06_texhoma_tx_06u07.jpg22jun06_texhoma_tx_06u09.jpg
