Back to southeastern Kansas again!  This was the final chase day for Tour 3, so it was nice that our target wasn’t too far from Oklahoma City.  Storms went up late near Savonburg and St. Paul, in the Parsons and Chanute area.  We observed some interesting low-level structure, but nothing close to tornadic.  We wound up in Independence with a supercell to our west at night, so we placed ourselves north of the updraft and enjoyed a nearly-continuous lightning display.
