The Plains states were a bit cool and moisture-starved during the first week of May, and we would have to wait a while for the next severe weather chance. On the 3rd we explored a bit around Harrisburg, NE; on the 4th we spent some time near the tracks at Ardmore, SD; on the 5th some high-based junk was worthy of our attention near Upton, WY.
