I have presented a lot of background and history and data on the early temperature record at Greenland Ranch in order to understand, and to figure out, why 134F was reported back in 1913, and why that report is very likely not valid. This summary is a good place to start if you are really interested in the world’s official high temperature record. Naturally, updates may be needed as I discover new stuff! And, the article below was written before the “new” record of 130F occurred in August, 2020, at Death Valley.
